Asset Management and Provisioning - Responsible for hardware asset management. Technical Trainer on the tool to ensure its effective use.Led a project to move our Provisioning process to a new tool. I worked with the users of the existing tool to identify processes, procedures and roles, then worked with the engineer to configure the new system. I then created and facilitated training for home office and field users, as well as supporting the tool/processes after we went live with it. As a result, important steps like software license checks were not omitted ensuring software compliance. Show less Support the IT Business Analyst and Project Manager communities; Technical Trainer on new templates/tools; support QuickBase.I was part of a team that implemented Planview in the IT division. I was the BA for the project, responsible for gathering the requirements, configuring the system, training the users and supporting them after go-live. This resulted in senior leadership and project managers managing their project budgets more effectively and engineers entering timesheets quickly and effortlessly. While I was supporting our Project Management and Budgeting tool, I noticed that our Project Managers and leadership team had a lot of questions about basic accounting principles and procedures for how to forecast capital vs. expense, how we calculated a FTE, etc. So I proposed creating an IT Financials 101 class and it was approved. I worked with the IT Controller on the content and we both presented it. It was very well received and the sessions were well attended. This reduced the time that the Controller had to spend answering questions each month and shortened the monthly forecast cycle because it took less time for the managers to make adjustments. Show less Business Continuity for IT Operations, Infrastructure and Application Development; Technical Trainer of the business continuity tool; held Knowledge Sharing sessions and one-on-one sessions to ensure knowledge transfer.JCPenney had purchased a tool to document their Business Continuity Plans, but had no one to configure or implement it until I started in the BCP group. I worked with Engineers to install it, analyzed requirements, and configured/customized LDRPS (Living Disaster Recovery Planning System) for use at JCPenney. This involved setting up interfaces with our Peoplesoft system for associate data and with Active Directory for server information. I then implemented it and trained the IT division on how to use it (write their plans). This resulted in business continuity plans being written for all infrastructure components and applications so we could recover from an outage quickly and orderly. There was a lot to learn in the process and it was a success! It's still in use today. Show less
