Restocking, serving customers and making real fruit ice cream and juices were part of the day-to-day running of the shop. Customer service, initiative, and being able to withstand long work days in summer were priorities in this job.

  As an Executive Committee member, I attend monthly Board Meetings. My role on the Executive Committee is the Event and Rally Coordinator. I lead planning the Annual Air Women’s Rally in Ashburton 2024, and additionally planning future events. I have been invited and conducted talks with Youth including Gateway Students, High School Students at STEM Career Expos and at the Walsh Flying School. I have also represented NZAWA at New Zealand Aviation Federation meetings.

  As a Ground Handler, I help facilitate domestic and international arrivals and departures. I marshall, move and service aircraft.
