  Aside from primary duties as a soldier, I was responsible for operating heavy equipment for a petroleum supply unit. Duties included building bases, roads, drainage, fuel supply points, safety/defensive structures for base perimeter and fuel systems, as well as route clearance for convoys.

  Bridges is a non-profit organization that helps homeless teens finish high school. As a practicum student under the Director of Social Services, I assisted in providing holistic case-management and stable housing to homeless teens that Norman Public Schools referred to the program.

  Behavioral Medicine Student

  Chaired the Patient Satisfaction Council to ensure quality patient satisfaction scores for the 262-bed facility, which included gathering and interpreting statistics and facilitating departmental meetings. I also tracked 30-day readmission rates for the inpatient adult unit, and interviewed readmitted patients using an assessment tool I developed to find commonalities in issues surrounding readmission and worked towards resolution.

  Provided evidence-based mentoring services to previously incarcerated men and post 9/11 veterans to reduce recidivism rates. Responsibilities included training and coordination of volunteer mentors, event execution, ongoing classes/trainings for both mentors and mentees, and individual counseling sessions with mentees during/post incarceration. Assisted in federal/state/private grant writing and evaluation procedures. Personally acquired funding to create a new veterans mentoring program which I had designed and coordinated.
