  Member of the Process Improvement Team (PIT) within IHC Holland B.V. (Shipbuilding). Responsible or involved in the following projects:*Implementation of the 5S methodology within Shipbuilding*Production efficiency initiatives: - Implementation of daily stand-up meetings- Vending machine for consumables - Crane efficiency; lessening the burden on the infrastructure trough the creation transport zones and from here place and plan the smaller loads to time gaps where there is room for it (evening shift) so the overall production is not disturbed. - Assisted in drafting the Shipbuilding Production Strategy*Logistical improvements:- Creating fixed, one-way routes, around location with lay down areas and fixed storage areas to optimize the flow and traceability of goods around the location. - Integrating RFID technology into all items that need to be assembled into the ship (e.g. secondary steel, piping, equipment). - Implement level 4 (production) planning; to further increase the logistical flow start planning it. Use this with the aim to get goods “Just in time” on location. Furthermore use the RFID technology to scan all items and give them the status “Mounted” to track actual/real-time progress. *Robotization/Automation within Shipbuilding- Upgrade of the welding robot on site, was used for welding sections and needed to be converted to welding equipment and secondary steel.- Investigating the possibility to use a painting robot.- Assisted in acquiring a profile bending machine.*Creation of a Construction Calculation Model*Wave support; Business transformation programme containing bottom up ideas:-Supporting in maturing the content of ideas also supporting in making business cases and setting KPI’s.-Few examples: International block building, Improving Sales tendering documentation.*Roll-out of a Safety culture programme. As the sole responsible SHEQ engineer for the yard at Kinderdijk I'm responsible for all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality related programs and issues. This includes the following:- Implementing and monitoring the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements of the company concerning Shipbuilding at Kinderdijk.- Prevent SHEQ issues by preventive Risk Assessments;- SHEQ checks/audits (Internal audits at the yard, at other IHC entities and Supplier audits);- Investigations using the Root Cause Analysis method for both SHE and Q topics;- Continues improvement of the organization;- ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001 system control.Specialized tasksIntegrated the Management Systems of the yard at Kinderdijk and the yard at Krimpen aan den IJssel and certified them both under one certificate for OHSAS 18001:2007. Zobrazit méně Project ISO 9001:2015 certification and daily SHEQ Management- Completed the certification process within 4 months.- Drawn up the Primary Process in a flexible way as to be able to incorporate future scope expansion.- Drawn up processes in Sell, Prepare Work, Procure, Make, Logistic, Service and Supporting Processes (Quality Control, Calibration, Receive & Verify Goods).- Integrated the ISO 9001:2015 elements with the Plan-Do-Check-Act principal, this includes e.g. The implementation of Multi-Leveled Auditing, Non-Conformity (NCR) and Customer Complaint (CC) Reporting System, Root Cause Analysis, Management of Change and Structural Meetings.- Implementing Corporate templates with the aim of improving the connection of the entity in China with the business in Holland & England, e.g. Introducing a robust Technical Query (TQ) and concession reporting process and the use of the Corporate Action Tracking Register (ATR) for following up on corrective/preventive actions. - The remaining two months were spend on keeping the Management System & Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) circle active and effective, integral process improvement and laying the groundworks for a Safety Management System e.g. Organizing & ordering a PPE package according to the Corporate standard for the local colleagues and setting up a Job Hazard Analysis System. With the ultimate aim to contribute at ensuring that everybody comes home safe and sound.In addition to the daily activities, a research was written with the title:"A study into the potential for an improvement in the safety performance of Royal IHC through the implementation of an Integrated Safety Management System according to ISO 45001 and the deployment of the Safety Culture Model "Hearts and Minds" within the Cluster Shipbuilding".
