      • Conducted time-sensitive investigations for child abuse cases (e.g. physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect).• Conducted investigative interviews for children and family during high-risk and crisis scenarios for information gathering and safety planning.• Conducted risk assessments to establish if child is in imminent danger and warrants a removal and facilitated admissions of children into places of safety if deemed necessary.• Identified cases that required a care and protection order under the Child and Young Persons Act (CYPA) and prepared reports for submission to the Youth Court (at Family Justice Court) to safeguard a child’s safety and placement.• Conceptualized intervention plans for clients which include identifying suitable services (i.e. psychological, medical, financial-related, family-related therapy) to address clients’ needs for the purpose of rehabilitation and reunification.• Collaborated with various community partners and agencies such as Police, Adult Protective Service, Attorney General Chambers, Hospitals, Family Service Centres, Voluntary Children’s Homes, Schools, and the Ministry’s Clincial and Forensic Psychology Service to foster a safe environment for the children• Led case conferences with abovementioned stakeholders to ensure role clarity between agencies and identify suitable goals and intervention plan for the families.• Conducted group trainings for new officers to increase their knowledge and competency in carrying out their duties as an investigation officer• Supported staff’s well-being and maintained a positive work culture as a peer support group leader for the Investigation unit• Mentored new officers in conducting social investigations and formulating assessments for complex cases involving child protecting concerns.
