  Strathmore Law Clinic

  As a member of the Criminal Justice Unit, I have taken part in the Remand Project which aims at helping prisoners in remand who are unable to afford legal aid by drafting various documents on their behalf that include cross-examination questions as well as offering legal advice. I have also undertaken the Criminal Handbook Project which aims to come up with a simplified handbook that can be applied in various institutions to educate the public on different offences by explaining the ingredients, defences and penalties of the said offences.Furthermore, I am a member of the Communication Wing of the Law Clinic under the Catalyst which drafts the quarterly newsletter, magazines and blogs that detail the work done in the Law Clinic.Lastly, I took part in the Legal Aid Caravan 2024 held in Isiolo County. We got the opportunity to educate the locals of Leparua and Ngaremara on their constitutional rights and offer legal advice on their legal issues. Show less
