  Working on the UK newsdesk, deploying correspondents and camera crews to breaking stories, as well as providing coverage of the planned stories of the day. From day one of News 24 (now called the BBC News Channel) I worked on a variety of output from Breakfast to daytime. From day one of BBC Radio Five Live I started on 'Ruscoe on 5' with Sybil Ruscoe, moving on to Drive with John Inverdale until the glamorous world of television pulled me over to the start of the 24 news channel. I'll always love radio though! My first job at the BBC was at Radio Four on the acclaimed 'From Our Own Correspondent'. What an amazing programme to work on! Receiving 5 minute 'FOOCs' from the best correspondents around the world was a joy. Working with the brilliant producer, Geoff Spink, was a dream. We also worked with fantastic newsreaders who presented the programme, such as Peter Donaldson, Charlotte Green, Corrie Corfield and Andy Crawford. What a perfect place to start my BBC career.
