  Leads a high-profile, high-performing digital media production team frequently collaborating with colleges and departments across the University and with outside partners. With a high level of autonomy, oversees all video projects to creatively translate abstract concepts into effective and compelling digital stories for national and international distribution that advance the Ohio State brand. Serves as a key brand steward ensuring assets and strategies integrate and support the overall strategic direction and integrity of Ohio State.Provides regular communication and reports on projects, initiatives, performance, progress, and needs to the Chief Communications Officer, senior organizational leaders, and stakeholders. Responsible for departmental strategic planning, oversight, goals, and reviews.Handles allocation of resources to projects, teams, and work groups based on dynamic work environments and project conditions. Serves as project manager for planning and coordination of inter- and intra-departmental projects of considerable scope and visibility, frequently involving high levels of problem resolution and negotiation involving the organization and the University. Sets the scale and scope of new video campaigns, initiatives, and projects in addition to formulating appropriate visual style and determining needed resources and timeline for completion.Leads special projects ensuring the highest level of quality is delivered. Manages large-scale departmental budget, multiple services, procurement & property management, project planning & management, research & development, new technology integration, organizational strategic planning, interdepartmental collaboration & consultation, customer relations, and training.Supports the entire lifecycle of video production projects from pre-production through post-production, capable of performing all roles. Serves as a production and digital media subject matter expert for the University as a whole. Show less
