  Process Engineering team has the responsability of designing the manufacturing processes of new devices and monitoring the existent ones. Also, permanent effort is dedicated to improve actual processes and to evaluate the incorporation of new technologies, always in compliance with the international quality standards to which the company is committed. The job position involves organizing the work of the team, making work schedules, supervising the group members, detection of training needs, among other tasks. Show less For a period of +2 years, I was part of a group destined to perform the validation of all manufacturing processes to obtain GMP certification from the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) of the USA and the CE mark in Europe. The tasks consisted in studying several manufacturing processes of pacemakers and other implantable devices, perform process characterization (interaction between input variables), propose improvements, perform design of experiments (DOE), plan tests and trials, and all the obtained results were presented in reports written in English that were approved by the company’s VPs and the customers that contracted the validation effort. The objective was to provide documented evidence that the manufacturing processes are always performed in the same way, following established procedures, that they are in control, and the output is a product with the expected quality characteristics, according to FDA standards.
