      Sponsorship Coordinator/Chairperson

The Strathclyde Gala Engineering Dinner is a student run event for students. The aim of the Gala is to bring together leading engineering employers with sought after students, academics and alumni from the Faculty of Engineering. It is a unique event in the UK, providing an opportunity for the engineering professionals and academics of today, to meet with those who aspire to follow in their footsteps. My role included inviting world renowned companies to attend the event. Working throughout the summer months and with the long standing reputation of Gala, I secured attendance of both loyal companies and new, fresh organisations from engineering industries, ranging from Food and Drink to Oil and Gas. The Gala Dinner has proven to be an extremely useful tool for many companies in finding the Graduates best suited for their company. The evening was a great success with over 500 guests, £215 raised for our chosen charity and extremely positive feedback from students and company representatives. Ultimately, success in the Sponsorship Coordinator role lead to gaining the Chairperson position of Gala 2016. Show less

Working as an Operations Intern my role was to identify, propose and supervise the recompletion of a gas well in Memorial's East Texas field. The successful increase in production as a result of the team proved beneficial to the company with increase in sales and subsequent increase in company stock market value.
