      As a Naval Reserve Officer of the Canadian Forces, I have had a wide range of assignments over my military career, the last eight years of which in the rank of Commander.From 2008 to 2012 I was a Canadian Delegate (and later, delegation head) to the CIOR (Inter-allied Confederation of Reserve Officers), a 30-country advisory and professional development associaiton affiliated with NATO. From 2004 to 2008, I was a Liaison Officer to the Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC), an organization whose mandate is to promote support for the Canadian Forces Reserves in the civilian workplace.From 2000 to 2003 I held the appointment of Commanding Officer, HMCS TECUMSEH, Calgary's Naval Reserve Training establishment.
