It is most important to implement the way to prevent the incident and to create awareness for the pedestrian to take a safety crossing behaviour in order to avoid the accident crashes. The objective of study is to estimate the frequency of overhead bridge usage and the relationship between characteristics and attitude among pedestrian. In understanding this output, Theory of Planned Behaviour was used in this study to determine whether the characteristics and attitude affects the behaviour of pedestrian that involving the accident. This location of study was selected from Ayer Hitam to Batu Pahat Area. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed among 200 respondents. The questionnaire contains 30 items of questions based on the Theory of Planned Behaviour. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis. The results show factors that influences user to use overhead bridge is more comfortable when crossed the road; agree with used the overhead bridge and more satisfaction with safety that provide when used overhead bridge especially for the students. The correlation analysis shows that all the components are positively significant. The most dominant factor from (TPB) that contributes user to use overhead bridge is Attitude towards Behaviour. Perceived behavioural control is second dominant factor and lastly is attitude component. It is suggested that a positive attitudes such as cross the road with safety facilities, easy way to cross the road and make pedestrian willing to used overhead bridge are directly influence users to use overhead bridge facilities. The cat’s eyes are made from ceramic or plastic. These cat’s eyes are placed close together in rows, spanning the width of a road. They can form a traffic calming rumble strip. In this study, recyclable material are used, namely Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) as a mould and aluminum (aluminum can and beads) to reflect the light. The study is to produce a innovated cat’s eye by using the recyclable material and find out the strength of the materials. Then also study, the maximum distance of innovated cat’s eye can reflect and flash using vehicle headlights. After the test was done, the distance of the innovated cat’s eye reflects and compared to cat’s eye used as a road reflected done by JKR, this distance is almost the same. Then apply the innovated cat eyes at road kerb. Show less
