  Served as an intern for the Department of Community and Economic Development for the Tribal Government for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Prepared small-scale reports and geospatial analysis for presentation to head of the Commerce department and the Project manager for a determination of feasibility for various smaller projects in scope. Assisted with the grant writing for a proposal for federal funds from the DOE to add solar panels to the Kituwah Cultural school in Cherokee, NC. Created a Tribal Property Bank for available properties in the Downtown area using research, data acquisition and geospatial technologies. Worked with various department supervisors and managers in an efficient way to provide services and plan for development on tribal lands unique to the Cherokee people. Show less
