  Population genetic studies in marine species.During my internship I was involved in 3 projects, with different aims, different genetic methods on a variety of tissue and fish species from different locations along the Norwegian coast.In northern Norway, the Atlantic cod is divided into two separated groups, the Northeast Artic cod (NEAC) and the Norwegian coastal cod (NCC).The aim of the first project Lofoten was to monitor the frequency of NEAC individuals on the spawning grounds in Lofoten, to protect the vulnerable NCC. The percentage of NEAC in the samples was calculated using the Pan I locus obtained by PCR (microsatellite analysis) and qPCR.The purpose of project 2 Møre was to examine if the spawning of the NEAC and NCC occurs at the same time and in the same areas. Samples were collectes in 4 different spawning areas in Møre. We are looking at the same Pan I locus as in project 1, so the methods used in this project are also PCR and qPCR.Samples of wild, farmed and hybrid salmon were used in Project 3. The aim of this project is to elucidate the changes in the salmon genome between farmed and wild individuals. The population genetic method SNP was used in this project. Show less

  - Inplannen, uitvoeren en opvolgen van het Mediafill witness programma. - Interpreteren en evalueren van de bekomen resultaten om te verzekeren dat de productieomstandigheden beantwoorden aan de geldende cGMP en PQS richtlijnen. - Indienen van de groeipromotietest in het microbiologisch labo.- Het opstellen van het ECO-rapport (samenvatting van reconciliatie, incubatie, defecte eenheden, groeipromotie en ECO-testen)- Het correct schriftelijk weergeven van de uitgevoerde evaluaties tijdens het witnessen en het afhandelen van media fill specifieke afwijkingen.Alle voorgaande zaken worden gecombineerd in een samenvattend rapport.- Het opstellen van het media fill maand- en jaarrapport.Werken met Eventviewer, P2C2, Moda, LIMS, Safedocs, PLS Show less
