  As an Information Technology Specialist I responsible for supporting the Public Records Act (PRA) needs of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), I negotiate and facilitate resources required for the completion of tasks associated with all PRA requests. I utilize the Public Records Portal (PRP) software to monitor PRA responses, adhering to established guidelines.In this role, I initiate and undertake data extraction and assessment functions, as well as specialized reporting projects in regard to enterprise PRAs in PRP. I define objectives, user requirements, activities, develop cost estimates, and lead the development of technical procedures. Additionally, I function as the backup PRP Administrator by provisioning user accounts, updating system enhancement changes, and proposing changes to management.In addition, I have been responsible for managing the project to establish governance of the Department's PRA process. This included creating the project documentation as well as process flows and operational procedures. I manage staff resources to accomplish multiple ongoing curriculum generation and revision projects, including New Employee Orientation, Basic Correctional Officer Academy, Off-Post Training, and other statutorily required training. I frequently meet with requestors, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track and product is delivered timely.
