  I relate directly with the client and their representatives on the project.I relate directly with state agencies and parastatals that pay regular visit to the project site for the purpose of monitoring.I directly fix the quality performance index for this project such that it falls within the broader quality framework of the company.I am also a part of the team that prepare tendering documents. This team include the project quantity surveyor and the project sponsor, since I would be managing subcontracts, I am included in bid analysis and subsequent appointment of the subcontractor.I am also responsible for the management of the contracts of the subcontractors, making available every bit of information that is required to make their contracts workable. I am also responsible for closing out the contracts of subcontractors working on my project, am responsible for confirmation of their successful completion of their contract terms.I source for resources to be used for the project; these resources could be internal resources or external resources.I work closely with my project sponsor within the company to champion the project cause.I work with the external consultants nominated by the client, making inputs into designs as they affect buildability and resources mobilization/utilization.I manage the expectation of all stakeholders, clients and consultants alike concerning the performance measurement baselines.I perform all the duties of the Project Coordinator as well as deciding project parameters within the company organization process assets. I am also more involved in stakeholders management and change management among others.While functioning in these aforementioned capacity, I am also the construction engineer responsible for the project, providing construction advise towards buildability of the designs of the consultants. Show less As the Project Coordinator for the project, my duties involve 1. Managing communication between the project management team and consultants; between the project management team and the client; between the project management team and the sub contractors; between the project management team and the project team to achieve project buy in by all stakeholders. FOR this project there were 4 members of the project management team, 2 clients, 12 consultants, 7 sub contracting companies, and the main contractor company with a project team of over 250 artisans. 2. Planning work based on configuration management, making sure project early start or late start dates are kept. To make sure that the critical Path for the project is adhere to. This practice helped deliver the project at the critical path scheduled early finished date, even though the client mandatory finish date or contract finished date was exceeded. 3. Provide advice on construction methods of Structural elements, this is backed by sound knowledge of structural design as certified above. This helps to avoid re-work of Structural members as this afford an extra pair of eyes to check structural drawings. 4. The knowledge of scope management derived from my learning towards my PMP certification helps to notified all stakeholders where scope creep is about to occurs, in the absence of a project management plan, the project bill of quantities and initial drawings were used as baseline. 5. Part of my duties include work allocation, this makes me the human resources manager for the project, this is very challenging dealing with project team of around 250 artisans with varying levels of literacy and technical competence, I am able to manage this to make sure competent hands are allocated to critical path activities, in conjunction with the gang heads.
