      June 2012 – Present (6 Close Support Battalion REME) Junior Manager / Senior Technician • Volunteered for multiple equipment courses to make myself as much of an asset as possible for the up-coming tour of Afghanistan• Worked as a junior production manager, directing a team of 12 multi skilled technicians in various disciplines.• Inspected and signed off junior Technicians work.• Ensured all work was carried out effectively, to the highest standard possible within any time restraints given.April 2013 – October 2013 (6 Close Support Battalion REME – Afghanistan)Independent Senior Technician• Individually flown around Helmand Province to fix a vast variety of equipment in different, often very hostile locations. • Responsible for the install, programming, maintenance and removal of life saving camp alarm systems in ISAF occupied areas of Afghanistan• Fault diagnosing, repairing and maintaining high spec, mission critical, surveillance camera equipment• Lead a team of 5 responsible for repairing, testing and calibrating large scales of equipment used to detect hidden improvised explosive devices October 2010 – June 2012 (The Light Dragoons Forward Reconnaissance) Junior Technician • Providing diagnosis and repair on vehicle electrics, including technical failure diagnoses and assistance on thermal imaging combat sights. • Expected to deliver an 80% equipment capability and maintain this in demanding environments and operations; either overseas or within the UK. • Often I was the sole technician in the squadron with 15+ combat reconnaissance vehicles. • I deployed to BATUS Canada as key member of a Forward Repair Team (FRT) consisting of multiple trade skills.
