      Technical Support Specialist

      As a Technical Support Specialist at CastNET, I was responsible for handling incoming telephone calls and electronically reported issues from customers. I accurately described and maintained the status of each issue entered in a call tracking database and analyzed, tested, and resolved CastNET software defects, administration issues, and end-user training issues while working directly with customers. I engaged CastNET Services and Development staff as appropriate to bring issues to resolution, and assisted in resolving application availability and performance issues. Moreover, I conducted the setup of new users of the hosted service and assisted in rolling out system updates, with participation in the change control process. Additionally, I developed knowledge of CastNET software products and new system updates as they became available, tracked customer assets and updates in the call tracking database, and provided occasional after-hours coverage for critical software issues as needed, participating in the 24x7 on-call schedule. I also assisted with the management and maintenance of various internal and externally facing windows-based servers, properly managed customer expectations and customer relationships within the boundaries dictated by policy and process, and helped maintain the FAQ database and independently contributed to the knowledge base.
