      Business Analyst on the Technician of the Future Project

      Project: As a Business Analyst at Accenture I worked with Southwestern Bell Corporation on Technician of the Future (ToF) Merger Initiative implemented tools and processes designed to improve the productivity of SBC's Technician workforce. The largest project within the program was the GCAS custom systems implementation project. GCAS (Global Craft Access System) is a custom Java Application developed by Accenture and deployed across all SBC operating companies. GCAS has impacted approximately 30,000 field technicians. Throughout my duration on the GCAS project, I worked across the entire custom application development lifecycle, and extensively on Testing, Development, B/F, and Requirements. - Responsible for Product Test Planning, Test Scripting, Use Cases, User Acceptance, Test Validation, and Test Execution. - Performed application analysis, requirements verification, defect identification and clear communication of issues identified in the GCAS application and environment. Skills Gained:- Application and Product Testing- Mainframe Legacy Systems (WFA, LMOS based on DOS)- Test script/plan development based upon requirements- Defect creation and analysis using Rational defect tools - SQL 8.0 plus - Java coding, process flow diagrams, database schematics, and SQL statements - Client transactional logs, batch processing, and client/server architecture by exploring development team tools and knowledge- Project planning Show less

      Global Deployment, Cutover, and Go-Live - Managed two analysts on Cutover team that was responsible for implementing 12,000 line global "cutover/go-live" plan. - The Cutover team responsible for leading the cut off of transactions in Legacy Systems and the ramp of Accenture's business on SAP. - Developed cutover approach and Gantt timeline for 3 overlapping mock cutover rehearsals in compressed 30 week time-schedule- Defined the Cutover Tools and Command Center Management strategy. - Led a team that implemented and tailored MS Project Server as the project's global workflow and metrics reporting tool. The MFP program scope includes, for all 53 countries in which Accenture operates, simplifying processes, implementing an integrated financial accounting system and managing the significant change aspects associated with the transformation program. The Program will redesign process and organizational components, implement supporting technology (SAP) and deploy key performance measures for Accenture's Accounting principles and processes. Changes will be implemented around a new Financial Organizational Model to support the implementation of components from SAP R/3, mySAP.com and Business Warehouse (Data Warehouse). Role: I was a Data Conversion Architect for the Financial Reporting work stream. I was responsible for four business critical Financial Reports: Accenture's Revenue, Controllable Income, Economic Value Added, and Attrition. 1.
