      As a consultant at Magnitude.io, I was responsible for maintaining communication between the company and the school districts that it served. I assisted teachers and students using our Arduino-based sensor platforms in model rockets and weather balloons for real-world data collection and analysis in Physics classes. We were introduced during my Senior year in highschool and I was hired after impressing them with a new design for their model rocket capsules.

      In my broadened role at Guntert and Zimmerman, I continued many of the same tasks as I had in my internship but additionally became responsible for training all new incoming engineers and interns. I spent lots of time building connections directly with with customers and industry partners to more quickly resolve problems, and managed new construction projects and maintenance of nearly the entire fleet of bucketwheel trencher's produced during my time with the company. As an Engineering Intern at Guntert and Zimmerman, I assisted the engineering team on a variety of different projects including mechanical design work, hydraulic system design, and I created many technical drawings and procedures for our department. I also worked closely with our manufacturing departments to ensure projects progressed smoothly and to get more hands on experience whenever possible.

      As a member of Hydraulic Control's Systems Division, I am responsible for the design and production of custom Hydraulic Power Units while adhering to ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards. These can be mobile units with Gas or Diesel Engines, Industrial units with powerful 3 Phase electric motors, or anything in between. Although I have only been here a short time, I have learned a lot and am excited for the opportunity to continue expanding my skills.

These competitions tested our 3D parametric modeling abilities in AutoDesk Inventor and our understanding and use of GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-2009). In the two years I participated, I took home four gold and one silver medal in only six competitions.
