  • Role: Project Resident Engineer• Job responsibility:1. Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.2. Make sure that any activity offered for his inspection has an approved shop drawing, Method Statement (MS), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), and that the latest version of the applicable document is available at point of use3. Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.4. Make sure that all materials used comply with the approved Material Inspection Request (MIR).5. Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.6. Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.7. Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.8. Prepare report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and nonconformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.9. Check and ensure effective co-ordination between disciplines related works and all other disciplines.10. Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.11. Attend a weekly meeting with the client and contractor to discuss the progress and the situation for the project. Show less Responsibilities and Duties1.Supervise all types of works during the whole project period.2.Review all tenders’ documents, drawings, and specifications.3.Manage the quality control of all works within a site.4.Inspect site works according to the approved technical standards, drawings, materials and specifications.5.Develop SI and NCR and submit it to RE for review and approval.6.Compare the current progress versus the target progress to determine the status of the work.7.Control and manage safety and security plans daily.8.Follow up and review the daily, weekly and monthly reports and compare it with site latest condition.9.Manage and control the quality of pouring concrete, supervise the process of making concrete cubes for the crushing test to ensure that each cube contains the approved and signed ACE tags to avoid the replacement of cubes in the test laboratory.10.Create a daily record for all site activities supported by photos.11.Compare architecture drawings against MEP drawings before commencing the finishing works and Coordinate with all finishing works concerned parties.12.Consult the RE Assistant and RE on a regular basis and inform them before signing any documents, and to cc them in all emails Show less
