Also, I learned to work quickly and proficiently while performing a various laboratory exercises such as titrations, blend uniformity tests, and pill inspections in the Research and Development laboratory.

      Research and Development Intern

      As the Research and Development summer intern, I held several major responsibilities related to project management, design, and quality improvement. I was tasked with designing a functional endocavity probe disinfectant soaking station and documenting all progress throughout the design process in a preliminary design document. Another responsibility included developing work instructions for four ultrasound probes in order to establish an efficient working procedure. This internship provided me the opportunity to oversee all project management responsibilities for the GE RIC5-9H ultrasound cable assemblies from the initial planning stage to the pre-production parts testing stage. I gained experience interacting with suppliers, providing complete reverse engineered CAD drawings, and implementing quality improvements in the workplace. Show less

I live on-campus all year and implement the strategic direction of the Residence Life program at Rose-Hulman. I direct, train, and supervise Resident Assistants and the Assistant/Associate Director of Residence Life. My responsibilities include coordination of student housing, advancing student learning, leadership, and citizenship through the Residence Life program to prepare students for lives of active community engagement. I also serve in an on-call duty coverage rotation and respond to student needs and on-campus incidents. I serve on an after hours on-call emergency response team with three of my colleagues. One of my primary team responsibilities within the Office of Student Affairs is coordinating housing assignments for all students on campus and managing all housing-related items throughout the academic year. I am also the Co-Advisor for the Residence Hall Association. My goal is to help provide the best living experience for all students in the residence halls and contribute to the overall growth and development of each individual student at Rose-Hulman.
