  Computational linguist

  EasyTen is an EdTech startup that created products for learning foreign languages. In 2016 EasyTen became one of the first Russian startups to take part in the 500 Startups business incubator.This is my first experience in tech working on digital products. In addition to my linguistics duties, I was actively involved in product development and analytics. ● Contributed to the development of three language learning apps, namely EasyTen, Upmind, and LingvoTree, each with a unique approach to memorizing new words.● Implemented an language content control system that filters out errors, inappropriate language, and uncommon words, while ensuring accuracy and consistency across audio recordings, transcriptions, and translations.● Expanded app vocabulary from 8,000 to 15,000 words and set expressions, while adding multiple usage examples for each word. Increased retention rates by 5%.● Designed and prototyped new features, including a Facebook Messenger Chatbot Teacher, automated grammar task generator, and movie/book-based word lists.● Led development of a CRM to moderate GIF-images that illustrated words for learning, and managed a team of two moderators.● Developed ML algorithm for personalized word selection to enhance language learning outcomes.   At Cognitico, we were developing a cross-platform educational game called WordsApp. It is the first game of its class that incorporates the best mechanics of the 3-in-a-row games, and provides the user with a unique way to learn foreign words.● Built a game from scratch to 30K MAU. Developed the initial game prototype on my own using Python and iterated to MVP. Collaborated with the team to release the game and contributed to back-end development for core game mechanics and content selection using Unity and C#.● Managed a remote team of 2 level-designers and 8 level-testers to create 1200+ levels, automated level statistics collection and game difficulty balance.● Analysed over 20 A/B tests related to monetisation, retention, and onboarding funnel. We tested various business models, including IAP, subscriptions, and in-game ads.● Conducted user research through interviews, questionnaires, and playtesting, and organized daily communication with users via Intercom.● Developed log specifications for Amplitude, Facebook Analytics, Adjust, AppsFlyer.   PROFI is a leading online service marketplace for professionals - freelancers and small businesses offering 900+ services (tutoring, beauty, home, entertainment and other) in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus with 11M clients and 2.3M service providers having 20K new orders every day.I was responsible for the activation and onboarding experience for new supply-side users including landing page, registration, onboarding and first contact with customers.● Led a cross-functional team of 7 people (5 engineers, a product designer and an analyst), delivering features for web, iOS and Android products, collaborating with other product teams. ● Developed roadmaps aligned with company objectives and reported to CPO.● Achieved a 30% increase in registration conversion, an 80% increase in activation conversion and a 140% increase in first payment conversion by improving onboarding and first user experience conducting user research, experiments and A/B tests.● Launched a new qualification form for psychologists, resulting in a 25% increase in revenue from psychologists segment and reduced costs for third-party services. ● Increased first payment conversion by 40% through implementing a series of experiments to migrate users from mobile web to iOS/Android app.● Proposed a better scenario for passport verification of new users, resulting in a 20% reduction in third-party service costs.● Collected and structured all product findings and research related to the supply-side over the years, and presented them during the Big Supply Strategy Session.
