Successfully juggled the fast-growing, dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment of being at the helm of the technical development and delivery of Canada's most prominent sports teaching and coaching framework. With a strong team, I effectively led the complex task of transitioning the technical content from the PGA of Canada teaching and coaching framework from an internal model to inclusion in the Coaching Association of Canada's National Certification Program.Being a student of the science and art of facilitation and applying crucial adult learning principles has been an essential part of my career. Having delivered over 450 full-day coaching workshops, I still have a fire in my belly to thrive and learn more. As the PGA of Canada's Master Coach Developer, I have the privilege of leading a team of accomplished coach developers who deliver various coaching contexts; I'm pretty sure I learn more from them.I love the speed of change in "today's world." Like everyone, I'm forced to bend into a pretzel to stay up-to-date and develop golf coaching content with the most modern technology with the most relevant people while balancing fiscal and administrative constraints. It's an ongoing challenge that I embrace.Key people I have and continue to work closely with include National coaches, sport psychologists, strength and conditioning coaches, curriculum writers and instructional designers, equipment specialists and senior administrators. Show less The grind and joy of leading a national sport organization were both rewarding in different ways. Just by lucky timing, I was the President of the PGA of Canada in its 100th year - what a privilege. Having the opportunity to meet, network, work alongside and eventually become colleagues and friends of some of the golf and sports most influential (and most innovative) people was something that I will forever cherish. Delivering on the strategies and objectives of a multi-million dollar budget, with strong governance, detailed orientated policy writing, and an unwavering commitment to learning about and providing quality leadership are qualities I carry in all aspects of my work. These years solidified my understanding of why strong values, principles and planning are deal-breakers in successful organizations. Show less

As COACH+'s founder, I'm immensely proud of our partnerships, friendships and colleagues with over 50 sport organizations in 12 sports in over 20 countries. We are global leaders and local champions. Simply put, we coach coaches and build organizational capacity within sport organizations. It is not the organizations that matter most; it's the people inside them. We heavily lean into their growth opportunities while keeping an unwavering eye on what they do well. All our work, regardless of sport, region or person, is entirely bespoke; no two people or organizations are the same, so the support we develop alongside them will always reflect that. Show less Supporting Head Coaches ---In a fully "embedded model," we support varsity volleyball and basketball head coaches at a forward-thinking, creative Ontario college. As coach developers, we are on the staff of these teams, enabling us to see authentic, close-up coaching, allowing us to deepen our relationships and support them in a meaningful and textured way.AthLeadership ---We take transformational coaching and leadership to a new level with the AthLeadership program. Designed to support varsity athletes in developing their leadership skills in preparation for "life after varsity sport." We supercharge their preparation by expanding their network, participating in philanthropic events, and learning explicit leadership skills such as value-based leadership, problem-solving, and managing difficult conversations. The feedback from athletes after this program is almost unanimous, "It's a game changer, and every athlete should get involved."Sport and Wellness Department, Change Consultant ---As the consultant leading change in the Sport and Wellness Department department, the role involves understanding evolving student needs, shaping departmental values, and modernizing operations. This entails adapting programs to meet the needs of varsity student-athletes and those looking for recreational activities. We strive to establish values that promote in innovation, integrating technology and data-driven strategies for a more contemporary approach. Through collaboration and forward-thinking initiatives, we are driving the department toward excellence in higher education sport and recreation. Show less Partnering with individual national team coaches from various winter and summer sports, we support coaches in developing a personal growth map in preparation for their respective world games. This map is built on a fully custom onboarding, debriefing and accountability framework. These environments are dynamic and fluid while staying focused on the agreed goals and objectives. And yes, along with the grind of development, we laugh a lot!Coach Developers (those that train coaches) have and require different skills than coaches. As part of our partnership with Special Olympics Canada, we observe and meet with those key leaders with the utmost responsibility to train coaches in their region in the formal coaching framework. During our check-ins with dive into the growth of their facilitation and interpersonal skills, self-talk, managing conflict and effective ways to prepare and review for the training sessions they lead...and lots more :) Show less As a leading figure in coach development, COACH+ plays a pivotal role in continually enhancing and modernizing National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) content for various National Sport Organizations (NSOs) in Canada.
