      This role included the undertaking of general office tasks, including updating and data checking the University of Sheffield’s student records with a particular focus on tuition fees. I also answered telephone calls and emails advising students on both the registration process and financial concerns. Furthermore, I worked on the Financial Enquiries helpdesk during the Registration Event in Intro Week where I dealt with students face to face in a busy environment, advising them on the best course of action. I had to learn quickly and work efficiently, demonstrating my time management skills. Working in a highly pressurised atmosphere answering phone calls required me to stay calm and professional. I had to ensure the information I conveyed was accurate and make sure I gave the best possible advice to potential undergraduates. I enjoyed the thrill of the pressure and satisfaction of performing well and was required to use my interpersonal and problem solving skills. Show less
