      Former Deputy Director of the Maryland Department of Assessments & Taxation, a customer-focused agency that strives to ensure Maryland’s $850 billion worth of property is accurately assessed, 450,000 residents are correctly issued $250 million in tax credits, 400,000 business records are appropriately maintained, and all necessary tax-related information is conveyed to state agencies and local jurisdictions - responsible for over $11 billion of government funding annually. Worked with the Director to lead 600 staff across 25 offices.Represented agency in Maryland’s Francis Scott Key (FSK) Bridge State Disaster Recovery Coordination Working Group, coordinating with the Maryland Department of Emergency Management (MDEM), the Maryland Department of Commerce, and the Governor’s Office to assist the people of Maryland.Lead transformation efforts from a legacy system-focused agency to a data-focused agency. Represented agency at Maryland Commerce sub-Cabinet meetings & Statewide Cybersecurity Tabletop Exercise.Worked to modernize our inter-system, inter-agency, and inter-governmental data exchange, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Open Geospatial Standards and Blockchain technologies. Explored generative AI and machine learning for document processing, customer service, and data quality.
