This role saw me liaise with influential service delivery and technical teams from multiple stakeholder locations (globally) to solve any incident as it arises, and working remotely at short notice as required. With a keen focus on customer satisfaction, I managed large-scale distribution of communications equipment worth c.£40m.Not only was I involved in the management and coordination of engineering activities, but I also provided direct configuration asset management ensuring all breakdowns were promptly replaced throughout the world. It has been essential for me to have oversight for multiple areas of responsibility, including engineering trades, and direct supervisor management for a team of 8. I have given legal certification for the deployment of high-value and encrypted assets, and assumed accountability for their dispersal. I have innovatively reduced wastage, realising overall savings of £20m, which is a reduction in obsolete and Surplus to Requirement equipment of 75%. Show less I am accountable for the timely delivery of administrative and deployment training. Although predominantly a leadership role, covering 52 staff; this position saw me draw upon my experience to aid the development of new and inexperienced staff, through coaching and mentoring skills. Being the senior figure within the department I provided key assurances over all H&S matters, ensuring that all training lies with government strategy and organisational policy, covering Risk, Manual Handling and the compliance of training against strict Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) standards. As part of these standards, it was necessary for me to provide auditory data for internal and external auditors, with any findings being discussed amongst the team as lessons learnt. From here, key learning points were reviewed, renewed and tested before training plans fully amended for wider use.Overall, the development and safety of trainees remained paramount, and I saw high success rates through trending data developed in-house through my team, which when put in terms of success has seen some high-achieving individual’s careers excel from our training blueprint.
