My experience here included:- Bureau of Programming: Phase I traffic engineering & roadway geometric design, 1970-1976.- Bureau of Local Roads & Streets: Federal Aid Technician, guiding local agencies and consultants through the Federally-funded project process, 1976-1978.My experience developing roadway improvement projects for IDOT enabled me to test for and obtain my Illinois Professional Engineer license in 1978.   Following my retirement as President of HLR, I provided on-call assistance and support to our management and staff in developing new business and supporting our client relationships. I joined HLR as a Traffic Engineer / Geometrics Engineer / Environmental Analyst and Technical Report Writer in 1983. I developed and grew these areas of service and became President of the firm in 2007. As President, my primary focus was business management, business development and client care for a full-service Transportation and Structural Engineering firm with offices in Elgin, Woodridge, Springfield and Mount Carmel, IL.
