With Sun I have worked extensively in a Solaris 1 and 2 environment and attended System Administration courses. I assisted customers in the following areas: - Simple debugging of Kernel cores shipped from a customers site. - Installations of Solaris 1 and 2 and talking a customer through the same. - Debugging customer code - within the framework of product support. - Remote diagnosis of problems and shipping appropriate patches. - Advising customer on potential solutions to their software requirements. - General Network and Machine security advice.   My role as Change Manager has involved me working with varied teams across the international enterprise, ensuring that changes are implemented according to process and all stakeholders are informed. I have also engineered a new change process to be rolled out to all of SGBM UK. Part of my role has been the delivery of Management Information, containing analysis of aged calls, hot areas and incorrectly specified calls. As part of that work I became familiar with the Remedy API data structures and have developed various routines in arsperl. It was also part of my role to encourage all teams to close aged calls and classify calls correctly where appropriate. Working closely with various Team implementers I am attempting to roll out a CMDB service as well as the Remedy Change Management module. Working closely with Remedy Administrators, I have attempted to deliver new call classifications and menu items to reflect the new organisational structure. I have participated in the testing of a HDS Tagmastore SAN solution at SUN´s Testing suite in Linlithgow. I have also worked on various improvements to the infrastructure and processes being used within AFM as well as assisting with the design and approach for a new Disaster Recovery Project and a Data Centre Optimisation Project.
