  I am incharge for procurement and planning for raw materials at Al-Ittefaq Steel Company.Job tasks include:1) Prepare the purchase plan for materials according to the consumption history and future production forecast.2) Send the enquiries/tenders to suppliers and collect the quotations based on our requirement.3) Review the technical details to ensure it match with our requirement and get the final confirmation from end user. 4) Negotiate with suppliers which approved technically on commercial & delivery terms. 5) Decide the sharing plan between suppliers as per commercial terms and technical recommendation from end user. 6) Create the purchase order/contracts to vendors based on approved sharing plan.7) Following up with suppliers to ensure the delivery according to purchase orders.8) Maintain the complete logistic process up to final delivery (including arranging forwarders for incoterms EXW & FOB & checking and confirming the shipping documents). 9) Follow up for invoices and payments to be completed as per approved payment terms.10) Contact with suppliers in case of any technical issue related to the materials to find solutions.11) Development of new suppliers to improve alternative economic sources with approved quality. 12) Introduce new materials to end user which could improve the performance of production and save the cost. 13) Review current stock situation and update the plant for future deliveries to revise the purchase plan in case of any change in consumption and production forecast to avoid materials shortage. 14) Use SAP products to ensure smooth process and availability of all information and updated details in system to maintain the history records for each case. 15) Provide technical training for new staff to improve their skills and productivity. Show less I was incharge for the procurement for MRM (Metals recycling mills) and Altuwairqi Transportations.My achievements during my time there:1) Improve the procurement process in MRM and Altuwairiqi transportation accordingly to general procurement policy of Al-Ittefaq Steel Co.2) Develop new vendors for Altuwairqi transportation (Actros and Volvo trucks spare parts vendors also new service vendors and workshops) which provide more economic sources that save the cost and time.3) Use tire rethreading to save the cost by reusing used tires also developing new vendors for new tires by introducing new brands which provide alternative economic options.4) Develop new vendors for MRM especially for main shredder machine, shear machine and caterpillar generators & MTU generators and contact directly with manufacturers and authorized local agents.
