      I coordinated the acquisition of humanitarian Gifts in Kind (GIK) goods, arranging transport of goods to NGO-partners and beneficiaries, while representing humanitarian clients to donating companies, hospitals and other GIK donors. I identified and mobilised new GIK donors in Belgium and The Netherlands, managed storage of GIK goods.       I provide short-term resource management support to specific WFP Country Offices which need extra help. In 2021, following the military coup in Myanmar, I led the resource management team during a shift from protracted crisis to emergency response. In 2022 during a changeover of staff, I supported the WFP Bangkok regional office with delivery of trainings, technical review of budgets and oversight & support missions. Between Oct-Dec 2022 I backfilled for the head of resource management in Afghanistan contributing to the continuity of critical life-saving food assistance to millions of Afghans. In 2023, I led the resource management team in Sri Lanka during the emergency operation in response of the economic crisis.The work is varied and complex: I compile and manage budgets for the WFP strategic plans. I calculate resource gaps and support management in identifying priorities for fundraising. I provide recommendations on the use of the received donor grants and throughout the project cycle I provide analysis on the status of spending, unutilized funds. To enable longer term support, I assist with recruitment and trainings of new colleagues. Show less I oversaw the country office resources and was responsible for budget compilation, revisions, and management of country office pipeline for over 6 million beneficiaries. Key accomplishments:o Led the development of the 5-year USD 2.6 billion budget for WFP Ethiopia,o In 2019 managed the transfer of 352,500 metric tons of food and USD 29 million cash-based transfers to food insecure people,o In charge of the internal and external communication related to the resource requirements; and through joint fundraising efforts, covered 86% of the needs-based plan (USD 541 million),o In 2019, played a critical role in successfully managing the change and migration of resources from the project-based structure used by WFP to the new Country Strategic Plan,o Successfully led a dedicated team of 7 staff. Show less Managed the supply lines for West Africa and the Middle East of WFP's Global Commodity Management Facility (GCMF); a strategic platform for pre-positioning corporate stocks in a region (to reduce delivery lead-time, to enable timely food procurement and increase value for money), based on anticipated demand of country offices. This facility has a budget of US$ 500 million.Key accomplishments:o Managed the supply lines for emerging and protracted humanitarian crises in Syria, Central African Republic, Nigeria and during the Ebola health crisis,o Played a critical role in the expansion of the corporate inventory from 0.85 to 1.7 million metric tons from 2015 to 2017.
