We only had 48hrs to design, build and test our innovation, before presenting it to a panel of judges… Show more Within a multidisciplinary engineering team of 5, called team Simotion, we were challenged to create an exciting and unique way of displaying data collected via sensors around the Diamond building at the University of Sheffield, competing with 12 other university teams from around the UK, in the first ever Sir William Siemens UK Challenge. This being part of the Siemens Mindsphere network. We only had 48hrs to design, build and test our innovation, before presenting it to a panel of judges from Siemens and the University of Sheffield.The Diamond is considered to be the heart of engineering in Sheffield, so we decided to create the heart of the Diamond. The design was based around representing the data as the activity level of the building, with the beating heart situated in the centre corresponding to temperature data provided. Varying its speed depending on this. We also made a mind, circulating polystyrene balls representing people's ideas, this was based upon the power usage of the building and the fans driving the balls would vary in speed depending on this. This was surrounded by LED lights showing people entering and leaving the building and had the connotations of oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood. Show less

2017 IET Engineering Horizons bursary winner supported by Siemens Institution of Engineering and Technology Dec 2017 One of 75 people from around the UK to be presented with this award in 2017. Through this I am supported by Siemens and will receive mentoring from them, as well as take part in some STEM related activities.

Go Gold Athlete Leicestershire and Rutland Sport Feb 2016 Through my accomplishments in football I have been supported by the LRS and Go gold via a grant, which helped with travel expenses and football equipment.

Winner of the North West Leicestershire Young Leader Award in 2014. North West Leicestershire November 1, 2014 I was the winner of the North West Leicestershire Young Leader Award in 2014, for my dedication and voluntary work within sport. I gave over 150 hours of my time, aged 11-16, to help people from ages 4-18 participate within sport and enjoy it.
