Worked collaboratively with clients to design effective marketing materials highlighting their business goals and directives. With designs fully executed and client approved, project responsibilities shifted to prepress, separations, and production. Event Organizer, Promoter & Booking

Responsible for the organization, negotiation and promotion of artists who booked the space while touring in the Detroit metro area. • Signs By Tomorrow

      Jan 2008 - Jun 2008
      Graphic Designer & Production

Designed and set-up artwork in addition to the management and maintenance of a large format digital printer and vinyl plotter. Other responsibilities included assembly and application of pressure sensitive vinyl on various substrates. As the name of the company implies, time and project management were key to my success during my time at Signs by Tomorrow, as many projects had a 24-hour turnaround.

    • The Silent Giants

      Jun 2008 - Jun 2010
      Screen Printer

In addition to the daily application of my expertise in paper types and printing styles, responsibilities included artwork preparation, creating separations, coating and burning screens and executing/delivering posters and fine art prints for high profile clients and events all over the United States.

    • Progress Custom Screen Printing

      Sept 2009 - Sept 2015
      Owner & General Manager

As part of a two man, co-ownership team, I was responsible for all day-to-day operations. This included inventory management, purchase orders, client consultations, sales, scheduling and invoicing. In addition to being co-owner, I was also general manager, which included not just doing, but training our staff in prepress, burning screens, job set-up, a complete understanding of mesh counts, coating and exposure, as well as precise registration techniques with both single and multicolor orders, making corrective adjustments as needed and quality control. Assets that differentiated Progress and put us on the map were our willingness to mix and create custom inks, engage with and deliver experimental screen printing techniques and our superior rate of customer retention. • Agrace

      Feb 2016 - Nov 2019
      Graphic Designer

Daily responsibilities included the creation and production of innovative designs for both internal and customer facing marketing materials. While encouraged and granted the freedom to explore new and exciting design aesthetics, all designs were created within the parameters of the Agrace brand family and with respect for Agrace’s high quality standards. During my tenure I worked extensively on updating the Agrace Thrift Store brand and was also tapped as lead designer for Butterfly Gala, the organizations largest annual fundraiser. Butterfly Gala required a fully streamlined, integrated campaign with print, web, video, social media, billboard, and on-site elements. Show less

    • American Printing Company

MGI Operator, Graphic Designer & Prepress Technician

Recruited for the implementation, training and daily operation of an MGI—the company’s newest, state-of-the art commercial inkjet printer. The MGI uses digital embellishment technology to print 3D UV varnish and foil. Acting as the company’s foremost MGI expert, and one of less than twenty people proficient on the machine in the United States required someone with an extensive graphic design background as design software is built directly into the machine’s interface. Also tasked with designing and producing innovative American Printing Company marketing pieces and working in the prepress department. Show less
