  I conduct research in the Anderson-Langer lab under the supervision of Dr. Yanshu Shi and with the guidance of my faculty sponsor, Dr. Daniel G. Anderson. The project focuses on the development of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for efficient mRNA delivery, using luciferase mRNA as a model system for gene expression quantification.My primary role involves designing and chemically synthesizing and fabricating LNPs. I conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the transfection efficacy of these LNPs for luciferase mRNA delivery. I practice skills in chemical synthesis, separation, purification, nanoparticle fabrication, biomedical evaluation, data analysis, and experimental design. Show less
