This was accomplished via process changes, establishment of defined roles and responsibilities, coaching, and implementing lean concepts to support the demands of the customer in a high variation/high demand environment.Directed the management responsibilities of KPI reporting, yearly performance reviews, weekly meetings with the team, and held daily shop floor management meetings.Established and tracked the annual AOP production and shipment forecast for the plant as well as established the monthly plant forecast determining capacity constraints and driving daily shipment forecast/actual discussions. This allowed management at all levels to understand the score and what was required to hit the established goals.Communication contact for order expedites, delays, and concerns with fulfillment to customer service and sales. Our ability to hold true to our commitments drove increased customer trust and improved relations which increased year over year sales.Designed and implemented several “Harris Lean Systems” processes to improve changeover times and reorder quantities increasing product flow and replenishment. The processes included machine center optimizers and Kanban systems for 65% of the material demanded daily. This resulted in reduced WIP and overall inventory which was an annualized savings of over two million dollars.
