      With nearly 36 years of service on the Chicago Fire Department, I served on several fire companies, held the position of "FAA - Fire Training Specialist" where I oversaw all operations at the O'Hare Regional Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Training Facility and was an Instructor specializing in aircraft emergencies and aircraft firefighting tactics. I finished my career as a Lieutenant, retiring from the position of "ARFF Training Coordinator" where I oversaw all ARFF related training responsibilities for the Chicago Fire Department's 3rd District, Airport Fire Operations.       I was detailed from my position with the Chicago Fire Department to serve with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). I was tasked with assisting in several investigations that involved Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting issues.Accomplishments while with the NTSB include;• Collaborated with other National Transportation Safety Board investigators on several accident investigations, which include accidents in Little Rock, Arkansas, Wichita, Kansas, Greensboro, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.• Prepared three “Safety Recommendations” for the National Transportation Safety Board report on the American Airlines accident in Little Rock, Arkansas. These “Safety Recommendations” pertain to Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting and Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 issues. Show less
