Maintained, and helped sail the historic John Alden 1926 Schooner "True Love". From the hull work to the top of the masts I was everywhere on the vessel to ensure that she was always well maintained and beautiful. On a regular basis I would be crew, which entailed setting sails, line adjustments, on the helm and talking with guests about the vessel and the area for 3-4 trips a day. After 3 seasons of working 5+ days a week, my public speaking and communication skills are well developed.

Runner Up in Product / Service New York State business plan competition Apr 2016 The Enhance VR team won Runner up at the NYS regional business plan competition with a business model for our motion simulator. It was a competitive field and for a team consisting of only 5 undergraduates we did quite well. With only a 10 min presentation and 5 mins of questioning we were able to successfully pitch our business plan for Enhance VR and catch the attention of graduate teams and even already successful and funded teams. We hope to continue our start up, take what we've learned… Show more The Enhance VR team won Runner up at the NYS regional business plan competition with a business model for our motion simulator. Best Hardware Hack HackBU Feb 2015 Won best Hardware Hack at HackBU hackathon with my teammates from Enhance VR for building a majority of our first motion simulator prototype. For 24 hours, we planned, designed, built and of course "hacked" PVC, 2x4's, wiper motors, and computer PSU's into the foundation of our 2 degree of freedom motion simulator with only a power drill, hand saw, and one C-clamp. It was an incredible fast-pace, exhausting process of creating nontraditional but workable structures with the limited resources… Show more Won best Hardware Hack at HackBU hackathon with my teammates from Enhance VR for building a majority of our first motion simulator prototype.
