Managed a group developing novel architectural solutions for the evolution of next generation IP networks. Developed an end-to-end architectural solution for the ‘Carrier Grade’ delivery of voice and multimedia services over an IP network that provided guaranteed service level performance (Quality of Service, Grade of Service and Availability). Led a technology/architecture group with a remit to transfer key voice over packet technology (VoIP and VoATM) into the Succession product development groups. Senior Engineer in a systems architecture team responsible for spearheading advanced research into Voice over ATM network architectures, solutions and protocols. Developed key solutions for network scaling, protocol error performance modelling, congestion control and cell delay variation mitigation.
