    • Mondelēz International (Kraft Foods) (Nabisco)

      Nov 2011 - Apr 2013
      Sales Service Representative

I started working for Kraft as a part-time merchandiser in September of 2011. Within one month, I was promoted for the position mentioned above. As a Sr., I fill in for sales representatives, while they are on vacation. I order product to satisfy grocery store customers, stock the product, and sell in additional displays to increase revenues. The idea is that the more customers see Kraft products, the greater the likelihood they will try our products. I focus on building relationships with grocery store management and cater my selling style to their customers and individual needs. I focus on making our shelves look neat (80% of our sales come from shelves), which in turn gives customers a favorable opinion of the quality of our products. Show less

Worked with organizations like Koyo/JTekt, Steve White Volkswagen and Audi, Lotus of Greenville, Schwaben House, BMW Manufacturing, Sage Automotive Interiors, and MTC Federal Credi Union to maximize sponsorship through event signage, social media and web based promotion, articles and advertising published in the Greenville News and Upstate Business Journal, as well as radio interview with B93.7. I reached out to food vendors/food trucks from around the community, as well as bands, tv personalities (emcee Fred Cunningham News Channel 7), car clubs scattered throughout the upstate, and non-food vendors (promotional companies, Professional Party Rentals). Handled social networking promotions to create excitement around our event. Posted fliers throughout the City of Greenville, worked with vendors to promote event on social media, emailed fliers to CU-ICAR partners such as Michelin and BMW, and reached out to car clubs/Greenville groups/Clemson University groups. I negotiated contracts with of sponsors, food vendors, non-food vendors, and worked out in-trade deals with media sponsor. Also, handled vehicle registration, as well as communications with registrants. Applied for alcohol permits, wrote script for the event emcee, set up Event Brite page for volunteer registration, collected sponsor logos. We had three months to plan the Inaugural CU-ICAR Millennium Drive. Over 3,500 people attended the event, 200 cars took part, 10 vendors, and 4 bands. 350 people liked the event on Facebook. A Michelin employee told me, "Greenville needs to have community events like this." Several food vendors ran out of inventory, we received several thank you notes from vehicle registrants, and sponsors recognized value in supporting the event. Show less
