      Member - Teacher

I had the privilege of working with a remarkable student-run charity organization called "Pehchaan," where I served as a part-time teacher for weekly lessons. Pehchaan was a shining example of how driven young individuals can create a positive impact on the community through education and empowerment.Pehchaan's primary mission was to provide educational support to underprivileged children within the local community. These children faced various barriers that limited their access to quality education. The organization's core objective was to bridge this gap by offering free lessons, personalized tutoring, and mentorship to help these students thrive academically.Collaborating with a team of passionate student educators, I had the opportunity to contribute to the design of engaging lesson plans, interactive activities, and workshops that catered to the specific needs of our students. Our curriculum encompassed a wide array of subjects, ranging from foundational academics like mathematics and language arts to essential life skills and expressive arts. What set Pehchaan apart was the unwavering commitment of the student volunteers who drove its operations. These remarkable individuals exhibited exceptional leadership and organizational prowess, overseeing logistics, fundraising initiatives, and effective communication with the students' families and local schools. Their efforts extended beyond academics, creating a supportive and nurturing community that empowered these children to overcome challenges and pursue their aspirations. My involvement with Pehchaan was deeply fulfilling. It showcased the incredible potential of youth uniting with a shared purpose, working collectively to bring about meaningful change in the lives of others. Pehchaan's influence was not confined to the classroom; it radiated hope and opportunity, fostering a brighter future for the underprivileged students it served. Show less

    • United Nations Academic Impact

      Sept 2021 - Mar 2022
      Intern

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in promoting and supporting global sustainability, peace, and development goals. UNAI encourages educational institutions to address pressing global challenges by engaging in research, education, and outreach efforts that contribute to the advancement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).As part of the Millennium Fellowship program, I was fortunate to engage in a transformative project closely linked to the SDGs. Our project focused on collaborating with local orphanages to provide education and support to underprivileged children. By leveraging the power of education, we aimed to contribute to several SDGs, including Quality Education (Goal 4), No Poverty (Goal 1), and Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10).Our team of passionate and dedicated individuals designed a curriculum that not only delivered essential academic knowledge but also emphasized life skills, personal development, and social awareness. We aimed to empower these children with the tools they needed to break the cycle of poverty and contribute positively to society. Through interactive teaching methods, creative activities, and mentorship, we fostered an engaging and supportive learning environment. In conclusion, the UNAI provides a platform for educational institutions to collaborate with the United Nations on global challenges, and the project I undertook during the Millennium Fellowship allowed me to actively contribute to the SDGs by providing education and support to children in orphanages. Through our efforts, we strived to make a positive and lasting impact on their lives, aligning with the core principles of the United Nations Academic Impact initiative. Show less

    • National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)

      Jun 2022 - Jun 2023

During my internship at the Optimization and Machine Learning Lab, I had the privilege of delving into the dynamic realm of data science and artificial intelligence, where I engaged in a multifaceted project that encompassed data set labeling, feature extraction, and the evaluation of cutting-edge deep learning models such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and BERT.One of the key components of my internship involved data set labeling, a foundational step in the data preprocessing pipeline. With meticulous attention to detail, I curated and annotated datasets, adding essential labels that would serve as the cornerstone for subsequent analyses. This phase of the project taught me the critical importance of data quality and integrity, as accurate labels are imperative for training robust machine learning models. In retrospect, my internship at the Optimization and Machine Learning Lab was a transformative experience that allowed me to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. I witnessed firsthand the evolution of raw data into actionable insights, driven by meticulous data labeling, innovative feature extraction, and the deployment of state-of-the-art deep learning models. As I now embark on new horizons, I carry with me a treasure trove of skills and insights garnered during this internship, propelling me towards continued exploration and innovation in the realm of data science and artificial intelligence.
