  'Development Geophysicist' - Summer Intern

  • Responsible for the development of appropriate seismic attribute cubes for characterization of fracture networks and sub-seismic faults in a Fractured reservoir. • Performed seismic reservoir characterization for oil fields in NEB (Middle East). Worked in an integrated 3G-R team, providing seismic characterization inputs to match reservoir simulations. • Successfully initiated the process of extending the seismic characterization to the surface from the reservoir zone in order to have insights on the cause of fractures and their distribution.   • Worked on the “MEM (Mechanical Earth Model) creation and Geomechanical Fracture Analysis”.• Made a key contribution carrying out comprehensive work on characterizing critically stressed fractures – hydraulically conductive fractures; Important for horizontal well positioning (frac wells/ producers). • Provided suggestions for developing a geomechanical methodology for estimating ‘fracture permeability’ with the help of in-house correlations.

Calypso-1 is a promising Gas discovery in 2018. - Strong involvement in all technical work related to the Onesiphoros-West-1 well, Block 11 offshore Cyprus from Total’s side (Operated). OW-1 found non-commercial volumes of gas in 2017.
