      Graduate Research Assistant

I worked as a research assistant for two and half years during my Master's degree at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. I prepared a proposal identifying the experimental auction as the right tool to use to elicit consumers' willingness to pay for newly developed catfish products, developed by USDA. After approval of the proposal, we conducted an experimental auction along with the sensory analysis of the catfish products. I utilized the data generated from the auction to analyze the preferences of consumers for different sensory attributes before tasting and determined their willingness to pay for the products. I was able to publish a paper in Aquaculture Economics and Management journal in 2020. Show less

      Graduate Research Associate

My Ph.D. research is on exploring the adoption behavior of private landowners, who own rangelands on the southern Great Plains of the United States, for adopting best rangeland management practices (Patch-burn grazing and Mixed-species grazing). I prepared a proposal to conduct this research and was approved my commitee members. I developed a survey and sent it through mail to the landowners. My survey tries to collect information on the awareness level of the landowners for the practice and whether they are conducting those practices on their land or not. I have developed a choice experiment (Best-worst choice experiment) within my survey to elicit landowners' preferences and willingness to pay for different desired outcomes generated for those practices on their land. My survey also tries to explore the relationships between values, attitudes, norms, and their role in predicting the behavioral intention of landowners to conduct those practices on their land.
