  A member of the Insect Cognition Lab, conducting research on behavioural ecology and pesticide bioassays to assess the toxicity of a novel and commercially attractive pesticide. I utilised elements of classical, empirical and theoretical ecology to model the effects observed on free foraging bumblebees. This included modelling free-foraging behaviours using novel regression methods to identify predictors for observed behaviours.Also participated in teaching and lab demonstrations for undergraduate students.   Working with the social impact division, I led research tasks across a range of projects including scoping reviews on disease and climate change, producing species distribution maps, and collecting and analysing data on behavioural interventions to vulnerable populations. Work included the collection and analysis of data related to vector borne disease and insect repellents, working on clinical trials with a team of trained Covid detection dogs, and disease vectors.
