  While finishing the carpentry program I worked at Max Gray Construction as an apprentice carpenter finishing the Quad City Recycling Center in Virginia, MN. I then was moved to work on the Housing & Redevelopment Authority of Hibbing building for a remolding project. Just before completing that project I shattered my wrist in an ATV motocross accident and could not longer work.

During the summers I worked full time as a light duty mechanic and I trained in new employees with closing of the store. When needed, I ran the tow truck to pick up cars & trucks that were broken down.Ken was also my racing sponsor, promoter and mentor during my racing career.
