He has also re-engineered the 1% voluntary assessment that Explore Whitefish business members collect, directing $75,000 of seed money to help Housing Whitefish hire an executive director and grant writer. Recently, Explore Whitefish announced a strategic partnership with Protect Our Winters and Whitefish Mountain Resort to elevate climate change discussions and actions in the community. In addition to his role as an advisor to the Whitefish Sustainable Tourism Management Plan Committee, he also serves as a board member for numerous local, state, and regional organizations including The Tourism Advisory Council Research Committee, Glacier Country Regional Tourism, The Crown of the Continent Geotourism Council, and is the former chair of Glacier AERO (Airline Enhancement Retention Outreach).
