  Development Assistant

  In this position as the Development Assistant, I assisted the Chief Development Director, Grant Writer and Volunteer/Event Coordinator within the Development Department. In this position I handled all administrative duties to ensure the department ran smoothly. My day to day operations included meeting setups and minutes; data entry of all donor/corporate donations in Raiser's Edge database; reports; weekly deposits; process of all donor acknowledgements. I assisted the Volunteer/Event coordinator with two annual fundraising events and other smaller receptions. My duties included serving on steering committees; assist with venues and contracts; work closely with committee/board members; attended all event planning meetings; assisted with recruiting and training of volunteers. Other clerical duties that were assigned: ordered all office supplies for the Development Department as well as maintained Copy Room to ensure that all copiers, printers, postage machinery were serviced and operated daily; covered Front Desk to ensure that all visitors were greeted in a courteous and timely manner.
