Solidarity School graduate, building skills in grassroots and community organizing. Team captain for Chittenden county Exercise Your Rights, raising $5000 through a team campaign, providing technical and motivational support to my team of members. Provided support to workers through the Workers Hotline. Hand wrote all thank you notes for sustaining and one time donors. Show less

      Navdanya is a biodiversity farm that started as a participatory research initiative founded by world-renowned scientist and environmentalist Dr. Vandana Shiva, to provide direction and support to environmental activism globally. Attended educational classes surrounding Dr. Shiva's work on women and development, democracy, nonviolence, and GMO labeling. Assisted on the farm where needed with composting, vegetable cleaning, and planting.

      Worked with homeless and marginally housed individuals and families in Chittenden County to stabilize or obtain housing as part of my Masters Practicum at SIT Graduate Institute. Met with clients and collected intake information and assessed their needs. Made appropriate referrals, assisted with paperwork, and assisted in administering in-house resources. Worked as liaison between clients and landlords and clients and housing agencies to secure new housing or stabilize housing that is in jeopardy. Maintained client files and provided follow up support. Corresponded with a variety of landlords, housing authorities, government benefit programs, and other organizations in an effort to advocate for a particular client in ensuring supported, stable and affordable housing.
