      Responsible for the deployment and implementation for the first time in the history of the Department of Defense of a system used to improve battlefield healthcare and enable the delivery of a comprehensive, life-long electronic medical record for all military personnel and civilians forward deployed. Responsible for successfully managing the deployment schedule, performance and maintenance procedures established for the Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4) program. Responsible for deploying the TMIP software suite to the field during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). MC4 program enabled the capture of more than 12 million electronic patient encounters in combat zones, implemented and coordinated training for more than 42,000 deployable medical staff and commanders, and fielded 33,000 systems to 750 units with medical personnel, to include combat brigades, Army National Guard and Reserves, and all active divisional units throughout 14 countries.       Responsible for the development of policies, plans, and partnerships to ensure the readiness of the Army medical community to support missions around the world. Responsible for the selection, design, fielding and implementation for all new technology systems and products in direct support of all the medical units forward deployed outside the US (SOUTHCOM & AFRICOM) and in the combat zones (Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan). Responsible for all matters of acquisition, development, testing and deployment of technology and software systems to the U.S. Army, including AHLTA, the Army’s military Electronic Medical/Health Record (EMR/EHR). In this capacity, oversaw AMEDD Acquisition policy and plans for the U.S. Army’s Telehealth program in garrison settings and combat zones (18 time zones,30 countries, and over 30 clinical specialties). Acquisition Program Manager for the following products: Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Tool (ANAM), a tool directed by Congress to be used for the evaluation of soldiers following head trauma and assessing traumatic brain injury. ANAM was designed to detect the speed and accuracy of attention, memory and thinking ability of a Service member.  Medical Command AHLTA provider satisfaction (MAPS), a speech recognition technology fielded to all Army hospitals, to enhance clinicians experience with the military’s electronic health record.  Joint Theater Trauma Registry, (JTTR), a database fielded in the battlefield that captures combat injuries treated in hospitals. Joint Theater Trauma Registry became the largest combat injury database in existence and currently represents over 100,000 total patient-records. Show less

      Responsible for providing the U.S. Army integrated medical simulation capabilities to support the full Continuum of Medical Care throughout the world, (21 Medical Simulations Centers, Throughput: 150,000 Students annually). Tactical Combat Casualty Care Training (TCCC) conducted in these 21 Medical Simulation Training Centers in the U.S ARMY helped U.S combat forces to achieve the Highest casualty survival rate in US history. Planned, managed and coordinated construction and opening of state of the art medical simulation training centers in eight countries: Belgium, (NATO), Saudi Arabia, Chile, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In a period of five years, the MEDSIM program trained and validated more than 500,000 service members (Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and foreign nationals) world- wide, providing medical units and medical personnel the skills and knowledge to accomplish their difficult mission under extraordinary circumstances.
