Following a competitive interview process, I secured an 11-month work placement as a Language Assistant for Air France and relocated to Paris.Responsibilities included:- Teaching English language skills to Air France personnel in both small group courses and in one-to-one tutorials. This included both commercial staff such as pilots and cabin crew, but also technical and support personnel – requiring me to gain vocabulary in a number of new and highly technical areas;- Evaluating the linguistic ability of new students and creating programmes of study;- Assisting in advanced courses, giving presentations and providing support for other members of staff; and- Administration of the centre.
