I regularly perform semi-professionally on the viola and have previously taught the violin and musical theory. I also play the piano and oboe to a high standard.

      As part of my degree programme I was required to spend a year abroad. Following a competitive interview process, I secured an 11-month work placement as a Language Assistant for Air France and relocated to Paris.Responsibilities included:- Teaching English language skills to Air France personnel in both small group courses and in one-to-one tutorials. This included both commercial staff such as pilots and cabin crew, but also technical and support personnel – requiring me to gain vocabulary in a number of new and highly technical areas;- Evaluating the linguistic ability of new students and creating programmes of study;- Assisting in advanced courses, giving presentations and providing support for other members of staff; and- Administration of the centre. Key responsibilities: Diverse involvement in bid submissions – This ranged from small-scale, single-discipline commissions, up to £multi-million multi-disciplinary frameworks and I was directly involved in many key successes from global programme management roles, to government consultancy frameworks. As part of this role, I was also responsible for conducting client feedback interviews, pipeline management and reporting using our CRM database (including provision of training on the system), and OJEU tracking.Bid-related initiatives – I designed and managed several large-scale bid reviews, analysing bids against a set of criteria focused on the quality of the content and presenting the findings back to several senior stakeholder groups based around the UK and abroad.
