As the General Manager for JRL Plant and Logistics, the internal plant company for the JRL Group with responsibility for all areas of the provision of plant and transport requirements of the group, I have overseen the growth of JRL Plant and Logistics Ltd to be able to service the diverse requirements of the groups manufacturing and construction operations. This has included the expansion of the HGV fleet from 5 vehicles to over 50 on 3 operators licences and acting as lead CPC holder on the groups operator licences.As head of a team of 70 support and operational employees the strategic goal of the JRL Plant and Logistics is to provide market leading service at a competitive price to support all of the groups plant and transport requirements. The JRL Group has support this goal by investing in a modern fleet of plant and HGV's allowing JRL Plant and Logistics to offer its customers and employees class leading equipment. Particular focus is placed by the Group on health and safety of not just our employee's but also other stakeholders. To this end our HGV fleet is fitted the latest safety equipment to meet our Crossrails and FORS requirements.I managed the transition from a company that hired in plant and tools to a stand alone company able to provide from our own inventory all of the groups plant and tool requirements, established strategic relationship with suppliers, and establishing a new operational centre able to service the needs of the JRL group.
